This position is being created by our client to handle about 20-30 hours/week doing order entry and assisting the inside sales team with ongoing orders. Suggested schedules could be 8-12, 12-5, or 9-3 daily (it's intended to have some hours Monday through Friday). There is some possibility that the workload could eventually support this role as a full-time position, but if a long-term, part-time schedule works for everyone that would be just fine.
A typical day would have this person:
- taking phone calls from customers to create new orders
- assisting with ongoing or previous orders
- directing customers to various departments for assistance as needed
- doing order entry tasks and other duties as assigned
It's a match for someone who enjoys the telephone and has a personality that thrives on helping others, since our client anticipates the majority of the day will be spent talking with customers to provide whatever answers are needed. You'll be part of a team environment, and while our client will provide support and training on its product line, the best candidate will have previous experience as part of a customer service team.
