Our client's business involves extensive work with local zoning boards to prepare for the installation of its product throughout the nation. As a code checker, you would be part of a team doing the research needed to prepare a project proposal. Your role might involve phone and/or internet use to learn zoning codes applicable to the location of the project site. To properly assess how codes apply to a particular project, you'll need to learn the client's inventory as well.
The position is a match for a candidate who is:
- a college graduate
- proficient with MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe
- experienced with or interested in project management or inventory management
- a motivated self-starter who sees what needs to be done and gets it done
- flexible enough to work a varied schedule if time zones require occasional odd hours
The regular hours for the position are 8-5 Monday through Friday, with occasional odd hours as mentioned above, and flexibility for personal needs. While our client's business strategy includes hiring a pool of temporary trainees, the intention is to find permanent team members from that pool. This means that you could approach the opportunity as either a great long-term temporary assignment or as a foot in the door to a career. Starting pay is based on the amount of similar experience brought to the table, and a salary and benefit package that is virtually unmatched in our area is available should this become a permanent job.
