In our client's surgery center offices, the front desk works morning hours that are similar to what you would expect patients to be coming in for surgeries, so it's a match for someone who likes the early shift! You would train for a week from 8am to 5pm, and then move to your regular shift of 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday.
The responsibilities at the front desk look like this:
- handling patient registration
- verifying insurance and financial information
- taking incoming phone calls
- greeting patients and guests
Our client will be looking for a candidate who has previously worked as a receptionist, ideally with exposure to medical terminology and healthcare practices. Anyone selected would need to have great communication skills and proven attention to detail as well as the ability to interact professionally with others on the team in what can sometimes be an understandably stressful environment. The position is intended to be filled on a temp-to-hire basis, with outstanding benefits offered upon hire.
