Our client is a professional services firm where the retirement of a long-time employee leaves an opening that will be easiest to learn if you have some previous exposure to bookkeeping. While it's not strictly accounting work, the nature of the billing portion of the role is quite detailed and most similar to the general ledger concepts involved in bookkeeping entries,.Starting pay will be set based on where the selected new hire fits with skills and experience.
It's a match for someone whose work history and aptitude shows strong aptitude for numbers and organization. You'll be the person responsible for handling:
- payroll
- accounts payable
- billing
- time entry for the professional staff
The software is unique to the industry, so the job needs someone who catches on quickly and enjoys learning new software. It's also a role that gives you the opportunity to interact with people, since you'll regularly be in communication with all of the staff, so the job is not for someone who likes to be behind the scenes but is a combination of the numbers and people factors. It will have hours of 8:30-5:00 Monday through Friday, in-office, and will bring a set of full benefits as well as a solid team of respected professionals.
