Due to an upcoming retirement, our client is looking for a candidate to work alongside the long-time employee and take over a role that has grown to cover a wide variety of responsibilities over the years for this well-established local distributor. It would be a full-time position, working 7:30-4:30 Monday through Friday in-office at one of the company's two local operations.
Because of the length of time the previous office manager had served with the organization, the administrative part of the job expanded to include both accounting and IT oversight, making it a match now for a degreed candidate who brings that education or background along with solid office management abilities. The starting compensation can be negotiable depending on the experience level of the candidate selected and the knowledge of a distribution operation.
Here's what you'll be asked to handle on behalf of the company ownership:
- the hiring, firing and daily management of company employees
- oversight of company operating procedures
- handling payroll processing and HR records for both entities
- maintaining cash flow and AP policies
- preparing month-end statements and other reporting
- maintaining all licensing and equipment for the company
- serving as the point of contact for auditing
- maintaining IT systems
- participate in management meetings and employee training
